Job Description:

We are looking for a Store Manager with experience in coffee or food retail, who can effectively lead the team to consistently put great customer service at the heart of everything we do, whilst building a positive relationship with the landlord – acting as a professional brand ambassador for both WHSmith and Costa at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

As an experienced Manager, you’ll take pride in running an outstanding operation – driving sales, managing costs and inspiring the team to make sure every customer has a brilliant experience. It’s also important that you create a positive rapport with the landlords too!
You’ve got tried and tested skills and here, you can use them to the full. As effectively manager of your own business, it’ll be down to you make sales soar. Determined to turn every customer’s visit into a great experience, you’ll lead your team in upholding the highest standards, as you drive sales, deliver operational activities and manage costs in line with P&L and strict KPIs, alongside delivering compliance with company health & safety guidelines.

Job Requirements:

For this kind of role, you need some coffee or food retail experience and to understand how to manage and motivate a team. Ideally, you’ve previously worked with coffee or in a business that’s just as fast-moving as ours and have experience working in a HACCP regulated environment or with food and coffee safety regulations.
Customers, people and results are key; therefore you must be experienced and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service as well as developing and leading people who deliver results. You lead by example, rolling your sleeves up and helping out on the shop floor. With this approach, you’ll win the respect of staff at every level, getting the best from each individual and encouraging them to develop.
