Job Description:

This role reports to the Associate Brand Manager and is responsible for supporting the development and execution of brand strategy and marketing activities for major shoppable product categories (parasite, nutrition, dermatology, etc.), including supporting and/or executing brand initiatives that are designed to achieve specific brand objectives, including delivery of sales, share and penetration targets. The Brand Support Manager must be able to contribute effectively to the execution of brand strategy, contribute to marketing plan development, and ensure excellence of execution in market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct post evaluation of activities, recommending changes for future brand activity.
  • Analyze and review brand, category, product, service, and campaign performance to monitor and offer recommendations to react to effectiveness of plans.
  • Monitor brand expenditures and manage project budgets effectively
  • Manage and take ownership of national brand programs across product categories, and play an integral role in supporting brand execution for General Practice Hospitals at VCA
  • Provide additional support to the Associate Brand Manager on pillar marketing programs and initiatives
  • Fulfill other related duties as assigned
  • Work collaboratively across agencies to develop 360-degree brand plans behind key brand activations.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data then developing clear and actionable conclusions/recommendations.
  • Biased toward action. Takes initiative, entrepreneurial, can hit the ground running and move projects forward right from the start.
  • Preferably within the CPG industry and / or pharmaceutical industry, and/or pet/veterinary industry. Agency experience or experience in a start-up environment a plus
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening). This includes ability to make effective presentations to all levels of stakeholders, including hospitals, field leaders, and other partners and collaborators.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Copywriting skills. Must have experience crafting brand briefs and business plans for national brand programming.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects, with multiple stakeholders. Well organized, good at prioritization, attentive to details, clear oral and written communicator.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience managing third party-agencies, vendors, and partner relationships
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of prior marketing experience required
  • Experience in e-commerce marketing and ideating digital strategy through actionable marketing tactics
