Job Responsibilities:
- Researches information requested by the provider.
- Maintains patient medical history and physical exams.
- Enters information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as directed by the provider.
- Assists physician’s with, dictated diagnoses and prescriptions.
- Prepares referral letters as directed by the physician.
- Assist physician’s, patient’s and families with instructions for self care and follow up care.
- Locates information for review (i.e., previous notes, reports, test and laboratory results).
- Assists with procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals.
- Responds to various messages as directed by the provider
- Helps with patient education and explanation of risks and benefits.
Job Requirements:
- Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP)
- Subject to a background/security investigation
- Participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Personnel
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
- You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job
