Job Description:
The Graphic Designer – Print and Layout is responsible for creating and executing creative print and graphic designs, visual designs and artwork for projects as required. Works closely with the leader of the graphics team to ensure final graphic artwork is created using assets provided by the project and/ or researched. Develops designs that are consistent with UPR design quality and brand standards. This role will focus on Food and Beverage menus, environmental graphics and digital media design.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain library of Graphic Standards and Guidelines, presentation art, images and decks.
- Manage outside Graphic Consultants, taking notes at meetings, reviewing submissions and coordinating all communication between the Creative Studio and the consultant.
- Attend meetings to find graphic solutions to complex problems.
- Create, revise and edit Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign files, for presentation and production art purposes as requested.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Coordinate with IT personnel regarding technical requirements for sound, equipment and setup for presentations. Responsible for preparing physical materials for presentations; in example, printing and mounting artwork, posting art on walls, copies, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated work with menu design/layout. 3+ years combination education and/or experience in a creative department.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Graphic Design preferred.
