Job Description:

A carpenter at Tesla will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks. A well-qualified applicant will have experience in many aspects of carpentry and will not hesitate to learn new aspects of carpentry. You will also be asked to train new employees and work alongside other trades to complete projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build window frames, doors, staircases, ramps and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

Job Requirements:

• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Proven experience as carpenter
• Good physical condition and endurance
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Good understanding of basic math
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
