Job Description:
State Farm is looking for an experienced Data Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the cloud data warehouse technologies in support of a data marketplace. This individual will be primarily focused on designing and building the data solution.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Data Admin and Designer, you will be responsible for both DBA and Design/Modeling tasks. DBA tasks will be associated with the build out, backup/recovery, Data movement & ETL using AWS technologies Aurora and Redshift. Our new team member will also be responsible for modeling data being migrated from the FDW (Federated Data Warehouse) to create the domains of data on AWS. These domains of data will be consumed for reporting, visualization, and modeling by analytic data consumers.
Job Requirements:
- Data modeling
- ETL skills to transform flattened data into a consumable format
- Software development experience a plus
- Requirements gathering and customer collaboration
- Experience with developing in Python
- Aptitude to learn and/or practical experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Redshift & Aurora
- Experience working in insurance or financial sector, a plus
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Data solution design
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
