Job Description:

The reporting location for this position is within the Great Basin District, for this position is for the Hungry Valley Sector located at 46001 Owrin Way, Gorman, CA 93243. This position will work under the general direction of the Park Maintenance Chief I.

Job Responsibilities:

The Great Basin District consists of eight park units that cover 25,000 square miles within four counties with over 250 miles of improved and unimproved dirt roads and trails. Responsibilities include operation of various heavy equipment including but not limited to graders, tractors, dozers, excavators to maintain roads, trails, ditches, etc. The position will assist maintenance staff with projects including leach fields, trenching lines, digging up of water and sewer lines, and other maintenance projects requiring heavy equipment operation. Responsible for understanding and following environmental guidelines as directed. This incumbent should be able to perform minor repairs while operating in the field. Responsible for loading and transporting the necessary equipment needed.
