As the Administrative Assistant III, you will provide operational support to the human resources office at the Larimer Campus (LC). The position will have the primary responsibility of onboarding and processing bi-weekly employee information into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Banner for payroll. As well as handling time and leave tracking, updating employee files, and processing salary and employment verification requests for all LC employees. You will provide support to the LC Human Resources Generalist.

Job Responsibilities:

  • New Employee Onboarding
    • Process and enter background checks for employees and volunteers for Larimer Campus (LC).
    • Introduce new employees to the onboarding process including electronic and paper forms for employees.
  • Human Resources Data/Payroll Processing
    • Set up employee in Banner by generating the employee I.D. number ensuring accuracy of data entered.
    • Calculate, adjust and enter all payroll data for LC employees on the Bi-weekly pay schedule.
  • Records and Data Management
    • Responsible for data imaging, scanning and maintenance of employee and HR files to ensure compliance with state system archival requirements and FRCC HR processes to include, but not limited to, new hire paperwork, payroll documents, performance related documents, and annual disclosures.
    • Routinely, perform internal audits on HR files and ensure accuracy of student employee work.
  • Time and Leave Management
    • Monitor, process and track Time/Leave requests for Larimer Campus employees including regular, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Leave Without Pay (LWOP) and Workers Compensation leave types.
    • Assist with entering Workers Compensation claims into vendor site.
  • Office Support
    • Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist to include managing appointments and room reservations, assembling and organizing the documents for CORA requests and legal processes. Compose and prepare correspondence, memos, and spreadsheets as needed.
    • Handle and/or assist in HR special projects.

Job Requirements:

Thirty-six months (36) of higher level clerical experience which includes six (6) months of experience in Human Resources. The primary function of your job must be clerical. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. (Part-time experience will be pro-rated).   • Attention to Detail: Process large amounts of data entry and complete audits and reconciliations.
  • Critical Thinking: Review and enter payroll records. Calculate time and leave balances.
    Equity, Inclusion and Diversity: Work with employees from diverse background and experiences. Work with new hires during the onboarding process to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
  • Customer Service: Provide support to new employees through the onboarding process. Provide support to customers regarding related to Human Resources.
  • Communication (Written & Oral): Communicate with new staff during the onboarding process. Provide accurate, timely, and detailed information to staff and customers.
  • Excel: Update and maintain payroll and budget spreadsheets.
  • Data Entry & Processing: Enter compensation and payroll information into the HRIS. Enter new employee information into the HRIS system.
