Job Description: Primary responsibility is processing a variety of purchase orders for State Farm employees and business areas. Order types may include IT hardware, furniture, machinery, office supplies, etc. Business partners rely on us to process orders accurately and timely. Attention to detail and critical thinking is required to troubleshoot issues and collect necessary information for processing. Job Responsibilities: Communicates and partners with external service providers Assists in the research, procurement, inventory management, logistics process, and other services Maintains accuracy of product and service information on procurement systems Identifies training needs. Designs, develops, instructs, and coordinates training and ensures training materials/manuals are current. Suggests and documents products, services or processes that will meet business partners needs Demonstrates Remarkable service with internal and external business partners and vendors through the Procurement process Assists with executing procurement strategies and managing purchases for products or services Job Requirements: Identifies and applies process improvements that will meet the needs of the business partner Performs duties under general supervision Assists with administrative duties associated with the execution of RFI/RFQ/RFP processes Communicates effectively with business partners and vendors on quotes, invoice questions, etc. Knowledge of assigned product(s), service(s), or process(es), which may include understanding rules, regulations, and laws as applied to assigned area of responsibility (such as NAFTA, import/export regulations, tariffs, and sales and use tax laws) Applies basic knowledge of the State Farm organization and Purchasing Division to provide assistance to business partners in regard to procurement needs Applies supply management skills and procedures within established parameters including interaction/selecting/negotiating with approved suppliers, evaluating supplier reliability and follow up on supplier problems Assists with resolving problems that may arise in assigned area and prioritizes tasks to minimize problems Troubleshoots and responds to internal and external requests concerning order inquiries, follow-up activities, and product and service information Performs administrative activities that ensure accurate capture of data in order to meet established policies and procedures Job Details: Company: State Farm Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Bloomington, IL, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Careersvilla.com
