Job Description:

The Demand Planning Manager leads a team of demand planners across a range of Starbucks products including ambient and store development items. It excludes coffee, tea, co-manufactured products and chilled/frozen goods.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up the system and maintaining parameters to support an optimal planning setup and achieving the planning objectives.
• Drive forward system development and enhancement in partnership with IT.
• Building a team of Demand Planning experts, with the technical tools and knowledge to create results.
• Lead leadership-level discussions regarding promotions planning and stock depletion strategies across business units. (promotional planning)
• Train, coach and support the team in making optimized use of our Starbucks Demand Planning and S&OP Best Practices and processes.
• Identifying forecast discrepancies, opportunities and risks and recommending changes to forecast plans.
• Track the Demand Planning KPIs, ensuring a root cause analysis and an action plan to hit and maintain targets is in place and followed by the team.
• Support in owning and achieving the Supply Planning KPIs by delivering an accurate demand plan.
• Lead team in creating a consistent ‘day in the life’ operating model that includes systematic processes executed routinely and reliably.
