Job Description: Analyzes and evaluates forecasted and existing work against resource availability utilizing resource management strategies, policies, procedures, software, and business rules to optimize company and contract resource utilization. Accountable for ensuring schedule adherence, considering resource and workload issues taking corrective action as necessary to ensure project schedules are adhered to and critical issues are not overlooked. Job Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). Analyzes schedule output against business rules/parameters to ensure schedule and resource optimization. Analyzes reports for schedule adherence, trends and violations, ensuring that project schedules are adhered to and critical issues are not overlooked. Maintains effective communications with key stakeholders, Project Coordinators Field Supervisors and the Area Resource Supervisor to ensure scheduling targets are met. Effectively communicate the routine business workforce and workload needs with Gas Operations Supervision. Manage and monitor all aspects of scheduling Compliance, Capital, and O&M jobs work based on business prioritization for of company and contractor workforce. Manage and Forecast workload scheduling needs based on long-term available workforce and work load availability. and Assign jobs to operator qualified personnel within required time frame. Maintains close relationships with Dispatchers and District Supervisors. Resolves resource and workload issues; tracks and monitors work; taking corrective action as necessary. Evaluates details with job owners to schedule/reschedule work as required; makes decision around job readiness for scheduling purposes. Works with multiple stakeholders, internal departments as well as external clients. Owns reporting website posting and maintenance. Evaluates and analyzes work forecasts for resource deficiencies and provides recommendations around internal vs. external crew utilization cost decisions. Assists in day-to-day operations by understanding primary operational processes and key drivers to make recommendations for corrective actions if necessary. Provide scheduling data collected to drive budgeting decisions. Evaluates and provides recommendations for the leveling of company construction and contract crew resources collaborating with Construction Services to estimate resource availability to ensure scheduling performance targets are met. Drives employee accountability and responsibility in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, and job performance. A team player and can multitask. Job Requirements: Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of Gas Standards and work methods required. Must have effective oral and written communication skills and able to communicate at all levels. Must be effective in working with external and internal organizations. Familiarity with Resource/Work Management systems, e.g. CPD, SAP, CLICK, CITRIX, KorTerra/KorWeb. Strong analytical skills required. Must be self-motivated and maintain strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written). Requires proficiency in MS Office applications. Ability to make, implement and anchor difficult decisions to optimize system-wide resource utilization. Ability to evaluate forecasted work and make management decisions on the use of resources. Qualification & Experience: 3 years Dispatch/Scheduling or Field Construction experience. Required Recent experience in gas and/or electrical distribution construction, engineering or project management; including experience working with gas and/or electric distribution system requirements and construction techniques, standards, materials, and equipment. Preferred Recent resource scheduling experience in a construction environment. Preferred Bachelor's Degree Business administration, project management (or related field); or four years experience in scheduling and/or field operations in lieu of degree. Required Previous SAP Work Management experience.
