Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Employee Experience is critical to our company’s culture and success. You will work at the epicenter of the company, leading employee engagement programs and the internal communications functions. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications, while working closely with cross-functional partners across the company to find new and unique ways to engage employees and deliver relevant news. This position manages the news team which includes two Associate Managers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of internal communication plans for new programs, policies, and changes
  • Execute programs related to employee experience
  • Build and lead an internal communications strategy that brings to life the culture of Sephora in order to retain and inspire employees in corporate and DC locations
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to teams at Sephora, building strong relationships across divisions and levels
  • Manage and support issues and crisis communications
  • Work with the VP of Corporate Communications and the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications on building the content and executing the production of internal events
  • Provide strategic guidance on employee experience programs and projects that surprise and delight employees while positioning Sephora as a great place to work
  • Support content creation for Sephora leadership providing both guidance and execution of supporting materials (i.e. scripts, deck creation, etc.)
  • Lead Sephora’s Awards and Recognition programs
  • Run Sephora’s internal communication platform and newsroom by analyzing and creating strategy for process, tactics and workflow

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to listen, simplify, and disseminate information tailored to the target audience
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional follow-up and organization
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to ruthlessly prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable with presenting to and guiding executive leadership
  • Growth mindset with excitement for experimentation, iteration, and improvement
  • Strong storyteller who understands how to deliver messages (either written, spoken or video) that will resonate with audiences

Qualification & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or related area
  • 7+ years of related experience in Communications/Marketing
  • Prior experience in a complex organization or consulting role. Comfortable working in an ambiguous, rapidly-changing environment
