Job Description:
Senator Edward J. Markey (D-MA) seeks a Legislative Correspondent to handle the judiciary and budget/appropriations portfolios in his office. The ideal candidate will have excellent research, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced office. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and detail oriented. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with legislative staff to understand the Senator’s position on different issues, drafting responses to constituent letters, and meeting with constituents and other stakeholders. Please note that this position is based in Washington DC and Hill experience is preferred.
