Job Description:

To implement, facilitate and project manage events and activities across EMEA. The role will incorporate a wide variety of tasks with key focus on internal and external meetings, conferences and events as well as award events and ceremonies, ship launches and ship yard visits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all activities are aligned with department objectives and assess whether these were met post event.
  • Coordinate logistics for all conferences, events, meetings and activities both land-based or on-board ships.
  • Where necessary co-ordinate pitch processes in order to bring in new initiatives to make our events stand out and blow the doors off sensible.
  • Build and maintain a detailed project plan including a regular status report to share with key stakeholders ensuring everyone involved has clear responsibilities and actions, both in the build up to and during each event.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all events from start to finish in the UK, Ireland and Europe – including: ship launches, on-board events, internal and external conferences, events, meetings and activities, award ceremonies and charity events.
  • Coordinate staffing lists, duties, responsibilities, communication and uniforms as and when required for ship launches etc.
  • Manage each event in full and remain the key contact for all activities. Manage the budget provided and set up a process to clearly log and forecast spend Put in place an action and reference document for future events including all key learnings
  • Work with appointed agencies to manage expectations, processes and feedback.
  • Work with the PR and Marketing/Brand team to ensure we maximize all opportunities driven by the events.
  • Maintain and create relationships with key stakeholders both domestically and internationally. Ensure a clear communication plan for all areas of the events are in place ensuring critical paths are highlighted to key stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with teams across the UK, Europe and Miami
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated, ‘can do’ attitude with proven interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage key stakeholders and expectations effectively
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and a team player
  • Flexible working hours and travel

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working within a similar environment (mandatory)
  • Experience in delivering brand led events (mandatory)
  • Project management experience
