Royal Caribbean Employment – Java Software Engineer

Job Description:

• Work with a team of developers to develop scope of work and execute tasks to bring that vision to completion
• This position is responsible for the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of web applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform basic testing and certification in accordance with defined processes
• Development of backend services for web applications using Java and other programming languages and frameworks. Responsible for the integration of web applications with backend Couchbase DB.
• Interpret and apply methods and procedures in accordance with the Software Engineering standards and best practices as defined by Royal Caribbean Cruises, LTD.
• Accountable for executing assigned tasks related to configuration, development and implementation of software products and applications
• Support, operate and maintain software products and applications
• Participate and contribute in the planning, design, and implementation of functional and technical software application and system level designs

Job Requirements:

• Angular is a plus
• Knowledge of CICD is a plus
• Bitbucket is a plus
• Experience with Couchbase or another relational database.
• Strong business skills
• Java, Javascript, JQuery, Angular, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap

Qualification & Experience:

• Development experience in web-based languages and databases.
• 2 or more years of experience in the field or a related area
