Job Description:
The IT Portfolio Management position is responsible for all aspects of overseeing the IT portfolio. This includes business customer interactions as well as working with IT management and staff. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. The IT Portfolio and Contract Manager must be able to coordinate a dynamic and complex IT portfolio in a fast paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations with customers; analyzing needs; managing priorities; conducting conceptual evaluations; developing project charters; managing work-planning and scheduling
- Preparing project requests for regularly scheduled meetings with IT Senior Leadership and facilitating meetings with CIO and IT Senior Leadership
- Facilitates the continuous review of the IT Portfolio to ensure allocations and priorities are in alignment with the business imperative and goals
- Creation and monitoring of key performance indicators
- Assess and report on status, issues, and risks of items in the IT portfolio
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Fifteen or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
- Minimum 3 years of managing IT project/portfolio.Experience in resolving portfolio and reporting issues and communication of these resolutions to NNSA regulators and IS&S Management
- Demonstrated experience in effectively partnering and communicating with internal and external customers is necessary
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively through oral and written word as well as diagrams and charts
- Preferred fifteen or more years of relevant education and progressive experience in IT project management of IT portfolio activities
- Experience with Agile Scrum techniques
- ITIL framework certification
- Certification by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
