Job Description:

The Commercial Systems Division, Ground Systems Branch at Kennedy Space Center is seeking a skilled engineer to serves as a technical expert and Human Landing System (HLS) Discipline Lead for Hazardous Operations responsible for planning, developing, assigning, and providing guidance to team members. The Hazardous Operations discipline includes cryogenics, lifting, and separation hardware.

Job Requirements:

  • In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level Providing expertise in cryogenic systems; evaluating or testing of aerospace components through analysis, design, fabrication, and/or testing; conducting tests and/or reviewing data to evaluate performance or performing and interpreting calculations, analyses, or computations on specialized information.
