Job Description:
As a Paralegal Specialist you will provide paralegal support for the Commercial and Intellectual Property Law team in the Office of General Counsel at NASA Headquarters. You will support the operations of the Agency’s intellectual property program and coordinate support across field offices, providing day-to-day support for the Associate General Counsel and the Agency Counsel for Intellectual Property as part of the General Counsel’s front office administrative team.
Job Requirements:
- Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field
- One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level utilizing intellectual property terminology and processes to manage interfacing with patent and licensing procedures and judicial or administrative proceedings; applying organizational and time management skills to coordinate administrative and law office activities among a diverse team of colleagues; and, providing executive administrative support including using systems for document management, tracking action status’s, generating reports, preparing travel, and maintaining records and office administration with close attention to detail.
- Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education in an appropriate field; or LL.M., if related
- Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b) and c) above
