Job Description:
In this position you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate, life changing disability determinations to individuals applying for Social Security Disability. You will enjoy the opportunity to learn new information every day, in a supporting, caring environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Initiate necessary development, review, examine, conduct phone interviews, adjudicate and make disposition of disability claims utilizing an electronic environment .
- Screen, analyze and evaluate medical, psychological, vocational, educational, and social information regarding claimants utilizing an electronic environment.
- Recommend the purchase of consultative services when necessary.
- Determine residual functional capacity.
- Determine eligibility to receive disability benefits.
- Develop a working relationship with the medical community and other related agencies.
- Prepare and maintain necessary correspondence, reports and records.
- Periodic overnight travel is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- From an accredited college/university, a Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Prior work experience is highly desirable.
