Job Description: As a member of US Digital Leadership team, the AVP - Product Development for US Digital Product Capabilities will be responsible for leadership across the dimensions of people, finance, process, and technology to deliver on the capabilities roadmap in service to US Digital program deliverables. The role is accountable for definition and execution of capabilities roadmap with high quality deliverables, for engineering and operational metrics, for operating within financial parameters and adoption of developed capabilities by delivery teams. Job Responsibilities: The role will have direct reports consisting of software engineers, RTE/STE, scrum master and product development managers depending on the size of the teams and scope of work. Bring technology and engineering acumen to partner with architects and principal engineers to find tactical and strategic solutions across engineering talent, SDLC and technology. Partner with Product Management and engineering leaders to develop capabilities roadmap. Execute the capabilities roadmap to produce easily consumable deliverables Drive people leadership including talent* operations, employee engagement, resource (FTE or FTC) management and performance management. Working with Agile teams, comprehend, analyze people, process or technology blockers and direct/action to resolve them. The role will own resolution of all barriers that impede the important work done by the teams. Be proactive, own and resolve issues in risk, security, and security. Prevention to be the guiding principle. Own budget and manage the financials for the portfolio of EE (or ER) work in the US Digital organization. Partner with enterprise platform teams to identify and integrate APIs, frameworks, etc. Be an advisor, coach to the teams on Agile Delivery Model, SAFE/Agile practices. Qualification & Experience: Proven track record of delivering successful world-class, large-scale, performance-critical multimillion-dollar software projects on time, on budget and with quality and security…all in support of large, growing, established businesses, as well as new businesses. Experience in building a high performing organization… demonstrated open and frequent communications at all levels of the organization with a genuine sensitivity and commitment to the development needs of the organization. Proven experience in product development (PD) delivering enterprise solutions to clients and consumers. PD constitutes leadership across people, technology and product. Experience in an agile/iterative, life cycle development processes and deriving best practices. Proven track record of success and significant experience in a fast-paced, leading software development initiatives, with working knowledge of modern database, services, UI and development tools. Experience in managing and executing complex system integration - effectively exercising build/buy/partner principles. Demonstrated ability to deliver results with a track record of success in achieving high-impact business results in a complex and multi-business-line work environment. Demonstrated ability to think strategically with outstanding business acumen, who hits the sweet-spot of being strategic and "hands-on". BS with advanced degree preferred in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical engineering. Demonstrated strength managing and developing diverse direct and 3rd party engineering organizations. Prefer an individual with experience and proven ability to manage an organization of 60+ with ability to scale, including across geographies.
