Job Description:

The Planning Analyst position is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality service to institutional customers and individuals within MetLife’s corporate owned life insurance organization Specialized Benefit Resources, “SBR”. This role provides service support across all SBR life insurance products, from policy administration to death claims. This position is a great entry level role to learn a business and be an essential part of the success of servicing our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Death Claims: manage death claim register, report on metrics, and learn to process death claims
  • Operational Efficiencies: Assist in the development and refinement of performance measures and/or reengineering processes
  • Administrative Support: Support Senior Management by setting up meetings, gathering metrics and assist in creating PowerPoint presentations LexisNexis Accurint Administrator by maintaining and requesting access for users; assist with client presentations
  • Special projects as assigned by management
  • Back up to Support Assistant/Records Management
  • Client Service Support: manage change of address process; beneficiary change process; use excel to validate data, updating customer forms in E-Forms and the SBR website
  • Compliance Support – Assist with Audit and Compliance Reviews; Monthly reporting for Compliance Risk Management Team; Consumer Data Protection – research and gather required data; maintain and update procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Self-motivated to learn more about the business and is proactive in personal development
  • Life Insurance experience/knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines and can partner and work collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills, i.e., mail merges, pivot tables, v look ups, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
