Job Description:

The Third-Party Risk Management Program Office (TPRM PO) within Financial Management Group (FMG) at MetLife is responsible for developing and governing MetLife’s Global TPRM policy and procedures as well as managing the end to end Third-Party (Vendor) risk management process and system.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and improves current TPRM risk assessment processes to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Defines and or delivers appropriate TPRM PO metrics, analytics, and scorecards through live demonstrations, written presentations, or training material
  • Leverages MetLife’s TPRM platform (ServiceNow) to govern the review of third parties
  • Assists in the development of key metrics and reporting across functions that give transparency into the third party eco system and operational effectiveness of the TPRM process
  • Partner with other TPRM PO associates, risk partners, regions, and Lines of Business (LOB) to ensure all third parties are risk assessed according to MetLife’s standards within expected timelines
  • Organizes and leads TPRM PO meetings related to third party assessments as needed: prepares meeting agendas, sends out meeting minutes and coordinates follow up activities as appropriate
  • Develops process documentation for completing third party reviews and assessments as needed
  • Interacts in both oral and written communications with all levels of technical and executive staff in matters related to TPRM
  • Functions as a MetLife TPRM PO subject matter expert (SME) and trains / supports LOBs & risk partners through one-on-one training and drafting training guidelines when necessary
  • Engage with MetLife LOBs, risk partners and technical process owners to facilitate the risk assessment process for third party relationships and the services they will be providing to MetLife

Qualification & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding and or experience of Third-Party (Supplier / Vendor) Risk Management process
  • Good project management skills
  • Working knowledge of a Third-Party (Supplier / Vendor) risk management program / tool
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an analytical discipline
  • 5-7 years of work experience, preferably associated with third party risk management or vendor management
