We are seeking motivated professionals to help drive operational excellence in the Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) organization of Global Technology and Operations (GTO). In this role, you will collaborate closely with members of multi-functional teams to improve the way we do business and find new ways to exceed our customers’ expectations. RIS Operations is a diverse business operations organization consisting of motivated administrators, customer advocates, business consultants and accountants with a shared vision of succeeding together in building a world class team within MetLife.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to external and internal requests for information, including audits and Call Center requests
  • Perform high-value financial transactions in a consistently accurate and timely fashion
  • Exercise judgment and product understanding to determine appropriate handling of complex issues around core business functions of the unit and to resolve customer questions and escalations
  • Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients, customers and business partners
  • Working independently, perform complex tasks around core processing and administrative functions of the business unit
  • Utilize experience, initiative and judgment to analyze and resolve discrepancies and issues, and resolve internal and external customer escalations that impact the unit on a high-priority basis
  • Review financial impacted transactions for accuracy to eliminate risk
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity
  • Act as a subject matter expert to both team members and internal customers
  • If assigned approval responsibility, review and approve transactions processed by other team members

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer interaction skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Annuity & Investment Operations
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Effective time management skills – balance multiple priorities
  • Extensive knowledge of office support tools, core application systems

Qualification & Experience:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Access.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 26 Licensed where required.
