RIS Operations is a diverse business operations organization consisting of motivated administrators, customer advocates, business consultants and accountants with a shared vision of succeeding together in building a world class team within MetLife. Job Responsibilities: Respond to external and internal requests for information, including audits and Call Center requests Perform high-value financial transactions in a consistently accurate and timely fashion Exercise judgment and product understanding to determine appropriate handling of complex issues around core business functions of the unit and to resolve customer questions and escalations Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients, customers and business partners Working independently, perform complex tasks around core processing and administrative functions of the business unit Utilize experience, initiative and judgment to analyze and resolve discrepancies and issues, and resolve internal and external customer escalations that impact the unit on a high-priority basis Review financial impacted transactions for accuracy to eliminate risk Maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity Act as a subject matter expert to both team members and internal customers If assigned approval responsibility, review and approve transactions processed by other team members Job Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills and customer interaction skills Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills. 4-year college degree or equivalent experience Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Annuity & Investment Operations 3-5 years of related experience Effective time management skills – balance multiple priorities Extensive knowledge of office support tools, core application systems Qualification & Experience: Strong oral and written communication skills. Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills. Effective time management skills. Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Access.
