Mercedes Benz Internships – Systems Technician

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Systems Technician to be based at our Watford site. Keeping our customers on the road is critical, and to do so we must continue to offer a fantastic service to minimise disruption to their lives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining tools and equipment ensuring they are kept in good order and that any problems are immediately notified for action
• Providing exceptional service to all internal and external customers and suppliers maintaining the Mercedes-Benz brand excellence at all times
• Ensuring all company and trade association policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to at all times
• Passing work as satisfactory on the completion of each job ensuring that all tasks have been completed and tested, ensuring the job is clocked accurately
• Labelling and safekeeping of all warranty exchange parts until they are handed over for warranty claims to be made
• Maintaining the work bay and ensuring the surrounding areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition
• Reporting any additional work or parts required for authorisation to continue
• Undertaking mobile breakdown duties on a rota basis as required
• Completing the necessary documentation in respect of warranty work

Job Requirements:

• Franchised dealership / large independent experience.
• Previous attendance on product and skill training courses
• City and Guilds Motor Repair/BTEC/ NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Full and clean driving licence
• A valid MOT license – this would be an advantage however it is not essential
• Previous experience in a similar position
