Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Parts Supervisor to be based at our Colindale site. As a Parts Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service department. The key purpose of the role is to ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered to support the brand integrity and reputation. The role will include regular contact/involvement with the on-site Aftersales Manager (ASM). The relationship between the Parts Supervisor and ASM needs to be collaborative, positive and supportive.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Order, receive, pick and deliver parts for internal and external customers
  • The effective management and control of the ‘Internal Control Sheet’ (ICS) ensuring all departmental responsibilities are actioned in a timely and efficient manner
  • In conjunction with the Group Parts Retail Operations Manager, assist with and determine HR requirements including the recruitment of new team members and RTW requirements
  • Monitor compliance with all statutory regulations and ensuring quality control of all completed tasks
  • Actively maintain a clean and hazard free parts department at all times and abide by all Health & Safety guidelines at all times
  • Preparing and keeping under tight control departmental reports including stock control (negative values, non-stock, parts status) parts procurement and special order parts
  • Managing the completion of perpetual stock checks and full departmental stock checks
  • To manage all customer complaints quickly, efficiently and professionally
  • Overall responsibility to achieve sales and GP budgeted targets both monthly and annually
  • To abide by and actively support all rules associated with Warranty Trust

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to interpret financial data to identify opportunities/weaknesses to ensure the overall business goals can be achieved;
  • Proven experience in a technical environment;
  • Good at dealing with conflict with the ability to present their own position accurately and objectively;
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of change, whilst maintaining a highly motivated team;
  • People management skills;
  • The ability to identify own personal development needs, a culture that encourages others to express an opinion and generate feedback, and to use constructive criticism appropriately;
  • IT competent/literate;
  • The ability to create an enjoyable, fun and professional working atmosphere that enthuses and motivates the team;
  • Parts and Service experience in a franchised motor trade environment;
