Job Description:

Manages the daily planning and operation of the Resort Entertainment, Shows, Meet & Greets and Seasonal Events. This position supports the Entertainment Manager to deliver all Resort Shows and Experiences for our Theme Park & our Hotels; including, show operations, budget, labor control, people management and development oversight.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the labor and expense budget to ensure all Events, Shows and standard daily Resort functions are in line with expectations and parameters.
  • Running auditions and recruitment of all Performers and Entertainment Staff.
  • Monitors day to day park operations of the performer, host and costume character staff, including show quality, consistency and running length; providing performance notes to performers and costume characters as needed.
  • Ensures that area administrative duties are completed accurately and on time, including scheduling, payroll, venue capacity data entry, and MC operating hours data entry (Dayforce). This may include running reports as needed to keep on labor budget and unforeseen overages that need to be accounted for. Works closely with Central Planning Team on the above needs.
  • Complete department and park duty shifts as needed.
  • Plans and implements team incentive programs for both direct staff and/or department.
  • Assists in purchases of new costumes and props.
  • Write scripts for new shows, rehearses and directs new casts.
  • Work with our Costume & Repairs department to ensure all LEGO Costume Characters are maintained and repairs are taken care of quickly.
  • Lead the Costume Character team, ensuring all SOP’s are followed and updated.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of one (2) years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to execute multiple tasks are required.
  • A minimum of one (2) years with project management, show operations experience.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative. Strong problem-solving skills and experience in budget control is required. Effective leadership, staff development, organizational, verbal and written skills. Requires a commitment to excellence in customer service.  Strong guest service, and interpersonal skills are required. Computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, Power Point) are required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of theme park or theatre/entertainment experience is required.
  • Experience with managing concept to delivery of theme park entertainment is preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills with a general understanding of MS Office.
  • Background in stage management, performing, directing.
