Job Description:

This posting is for an IT Project Manager 4 (Scrum Master) in the Information Technology Project Management (ITPM) Group in the Service Innovation Division, which is part of the Associate Laboratory Directorate for Business Management (ALDBUS). The SI-ITPM group provides IT project and program management, including Agile methodologies to ensure IT projects achieve success and deliver expected outcomes within scope, schedule, and budget.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position will be deployed to the Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division, which is making the transition from waterfall to the Agile framework.
  • This position will serve as a Scrum Master for one or more software applications development projects.
  • We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of Agile frameworks: scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement);
  • A track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.;
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban, Nexus, LeSS, SAFe, Crystal, FDD, etc.); and advanced knowledge and experience with Agile best practices (user stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games).

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated record of scientific research achievement (through publications, citations and presentations) in the synthesis and self-assembly of biological, bio-derived, and/or biomimetic nanomaterials
  • Hands-on research experience with one or more of the following: synthesis of genetic polymers, biological nanomachines, or other biologically based nanomaterials; synthetic biology approaches to nanomaterials science; use of biological scaffolds for synthesis/assembly of inorganic nanomaterials; hierarchical assembly of bio macro molecular and/or hybrid (biotic/abiotic) building blocks
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with a broad and diverse scientific community
