Job Responsibilities: Codes, tests, and debugs complex application programs to create new business applications and interfaces or maintains/modifies existing business applications according to program specifications. Develops work plans and technical documents covering system architecture, conversion, integration, testing, and implementation for a system or complex enhancement to a system. Writes and executes programs to extract, transform, and load data for more complex system conversions. Participates in developing application development methodologies and standards. Provides technical guidance to team members by sharing technical information, trends, best practices, and conducting code reviews Performs database related activities for a specific application Oversees installation of application software. Conducts and/or participate in interviews to accurately identify, analyze, and document user’s business requirements. Job Requirements: General understanding of algorithms and data structures. Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking. Experience documenting integrations and application architectures. Experience with one of the following major database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. General understanding of Application Development Security. Experience implementing N-Tier application program architecture. Experience developing Web Services to communicate with client-side scripts, 3rd party API's and other applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Qualification & Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree* in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field One (1) year of experience at the level of Los Angeles County class of Application Developer Four (4) years of recent, full-time, experience coding, testing and debugging application programs in a centralized Information Technology (IT) organization.
