Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an Accounting & Reporting Team Leader (Accounts Receivable) to cover the UK&IE. Based in our Service Office Wembley, London you will be responsible to own and leading the Accounts Receivable function. The team is responsible for the sales to cash reconciliation of all stores and E-Commerce (now for both UK & IE), Credit Control processes for our growing business accounts channel (including in-house debt collection), intercompany reconciliation process, and all sales adjustments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recording all intercompany transactions and ensuring they are reconciled with all Group companies at each reporting period in accordance with GAAPs.
- Manage, support, and develop the co-workers within the Accounting & Reporting Function.
- As the team leader of the A&R function, you must keep up to date with changes in accounting and tax legislation and then ensure the AR function is compliant with the requirements of these changes.
- Responsible for all A&R processes in UK & IE, ensuring that it is effective, with good controls in place and that each process is well documented.
- At all times the processes should lead to accurate and timely recording and reporting of sales and accounts receivable balances, in line with accounting and tax regulations.
- Support the wider Finance team in tasks.
- Ensure that the team collaborates effectively with other teams in Finance and the wider business, working with them actively to seek better ways of working.
- Responsible for ensuring complex accounting concepts are accurately recorded and work is only delegated to personnel with appropriate knowledge and skills.
- Review the work completed by the team to ensure the output is accurate, of good quality and that the tax has been correctly accounted for.
- Work with key stakeholders in the wider business to ensure that all accounts receivable and sales balances are accurately captured and that all risks are controlled/mitigated.
- Actively take part in finance meetings.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of high-level accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong business partner with analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions
- Strong ability to prioritize, provide clear direction and multi-task
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and tax laws and regulations, as well as additional knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) preferred.
Qualification & Experience:
- Qualified through 10+ years experience in an accounting environment
- Professionally qualified accountant ACA/ACCA or local equivalent
- 3-5 Years of managerial / leadership experience
- 3+ years of increasingly responsible accounting and/or auditing experience in a similar or larger organization.
