Job Description:
The Architecture and Software Platform group is responsible for the software platform that enables connectivity and advanced application features within next generation Ford vehicles. The team is designing and building the next generation software platform for the FNV4 vehicle architecture structured around high performance compute clusters and zonal aggregators.
Job Responsibilities:
- Documenting and validating software designs.
- Design, development and testing of software components.
- Bug fixing and maintenance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with teams to design and implement efficient and cost-effective software solutions that span multiple domains.
- Analyzing product requirements and evaluating potential technical solutions.
Qualification & Experience:
- A Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development in C++ with at least 3 years on POSIX compliant embedded platforms.
- Working knowledge of inter-process communication, memory management, code optimization and efficient C++ API design.
- 3 years of Autosar Adaptive or Autosar Classic development
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
- Working knowledge of established software design patterns, efficient data structures and multi-threaded system design.
- Familiarity with C++ unit test frameworks.
- Experience with source code control systems such as Git.
- 1 year of experience in Autosar development.
- 3 years of software development in C++.
