Job Responsibilities: The purpose of an IKEA Carpenter is to support the Communication & Interior Design team in presenting the range in an inspiring way, securing high quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store in a simple, safe, cost and time effective way. It is an essential part of the role to maintain the condition of store and ensure it is always looking fresh and new. Job Requirements: Highest of quality, attention to detail and pride in work in all areas of responsibility. With the ability to read technical plans supplied by team members (REVIT) to build bespoke carpentry and to create solutions that exceed customers’ expectations with carpentry knowledge/skills and problem solving. Highly competent with the operation of various workshop machinery, both fixed and handheld tools. You are highly motivated, self-driven and passionate with the ability to prioritise workload to support the needs of the business with excellent time management as it is essential as you will be required to complete tasks in line with the department goals. The ability to plan-ahead and ensure materials are ordered in time and within budget. An understanding of working in a retail environment, conducting work when the store is open in a safe and tidy manner and representing the business. An understanding that Health as safety is paramount for our co-workers and customers in everything that we do.
