Job Description:
Our team is looking for an GMS Integration Lead who will be responsible for the development and standardization of critical GMS project initiatives focused on sharing best implementation practices. You will Coordinate and manage process improvement projects, Train/Teach/Coach/Communicate GMS processes with leaders & team members, and regularly Provide leadership role in transitioning plant to GMS Next. This opportunity will need your ability to establish local facility GMS plan with Staff, monitor achievements and establish course correction and support where necessary. You will Assist leadership in developing key people to become local experts in GMS elements and develop and monitor planning timetables (ie.MEP’s).
Job Responsibilities:
- Uses and promotes “Go and See” to support roll out of GMS tools on the floor
- Coordinate the activities of the GMS Core team
- Defines systemic issues that require project management implementation techniques of GMS elements to achieve business results
- Monitors progress of internal GMS calibration status and coaches the organization to achieve improvements through defined implementation plans
- Selects, develops and delivers GMS training packages for all levels of the organization including new hire orientation, TL training, SWE, etc…
- Communicates and train leadership within a facility on tools to identify strengths and weakness of an organization
- Develops project plans that will move an organization from current condition to future state based on a critical roadmap and key milestones
- Leads departmental SME coordinators through implementation activities
- Monitors progress of internal & external GMS calibration status and coach organization to achieve improvements through implementation plans
- Participates in GMS basket weave teams and supports activities
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of the Local agreements
- Ability to manage multiple and difficult projects/assignments with a high level of autonomy and be held accountable for results
- Extremely high level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult to determine both Cultural and Methodology improvements
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains to developing training, presentations and SharePoint
- GMS/Lean training or implementation experience
- Ability to build relationships and strong teams
- Experience utilizing GMS Lean Practices to achieve results
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills
- Practical experience managing process improvement projects
- Very high level of interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with all joint levels of the organization to meet mutual goals required
