GM Careers – Material Liaison

Job Description:

Global Supply Chain at the Milford Proving Ground is responsible for receiving all material delivered to this location which includes ordering material, delivering material to buildings, moving material from building to building, and shipping material off-site. We are seeking a Material Liaison to assist our engineering community with procuring material needed to support testing. Research and solve incoming and outgoing material issues in collaboration with suppliers and preferred provider processors. Utilize Engineering Material System, Customer Care Aftersales, and web-based applications to provide accurate and timely procurement of material. Disburse parts and order parts for customers. Track all disbursed material to destination ensuring on time delivery. Provide updated part number information, open POs, monitor orders, and keep customers updated in a timely manner. Input shortage requests and run reports. Research documentation for incoming and outgoing material. Act as vacation replacement for counterparts. Special project work as the need arises to support GSC operations.

Job Requirements:

• Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
• 2 – 3 years of related experience
• Digital literacy: database, Engineering Material System, E2’d, Customer Care Aftersales, and Embassy preferred
• Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centric
