Job Description:

We are looking for a high-performing Controller Integration Engineer who is responsible for leading and generating technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs. Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application component and participates in interviews. Visibility: at the site/team level

Job Responsibilities:

  • Document hardware and software anomalies using Rational Team Concert (RTC) or similar database.
  • Work with Technical Review Boards (or other cross functional teams) to define test cases and to determine how frequently they should be executed.
  • Automate system level test cases (or support automation engineer) to allow for automated regression testing.
  • Document algorithm functional and verification requirements
  • Troubleshoot vehicle level integration issues including hardware, software, calibration and vehicle wiring
  • Support algorithm requirement development by supporting algorithm TRBs
  • Conduct/participate in work product reviews for algorithm, software, and specifications incorporating I/O functional requirements/test cases
  • Develop/document/review I/O functional requirements and test cases
  • Verify controller functionality on a bench/vehicle
  • Confirm resolution of documented hardware and software anomalies

Job Requirements:

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and serial data communications (e.g. CAN, GMLAN, LIN)
  • Knowledge and experience in control system integration and testing of hardware and software
  • Knowledge of hardware design and failure modes of electronic modules
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering required.
  • 2+ years of experience in vehicle system development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with system/software/hardware requirements
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles & communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
