Job Description:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator will closely collaborate with buyers, merchants, designers and technical designers to help facilitate the product development and production process in concert with our manufacturing partners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to track development and production statuses
• Provide the Logistics department with shipping documents, TOP (Top of Production) approvals, and vendor shipping confirmation for prompt delivery
• Review development items with Supervisor or Assistant Manager before sending items to vendors
• Communicate with vendors/factories to ensure letters of credit, payment related documents, production sample delivery, development items, shipping documents, and cost sheets are completed accurately and on-time
• Ensure on time delivery of production samples by monitoring Time and Action Calendars
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure on time delivery on ECOM/Marketing, Visual, QC, and TOP samples.
• Work with logistics and PO department to update freight cost changes
• Communicate with logistics and buying team to update delivery dates in a timely manner
• Coordinate with designers, buyers, and technical designers to ensure all production requirements such as colors, trims, fabric quality, and fit are met
• Follow-up with vendors to ensure that development and production samples are executed correctly and timely

Qualification & Experience:

• Basic understanding of fabric types and costing requirements of garments preferred
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1 year of production, product development and/or merchandising experience including internships is preferred
• BA or BFA in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred
• Must have exceptional organizational skills
• Basic understanding of garment construction as well as technical knowledge of production preferred
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines
