Job Description:

• Develop on-device and server-side tooling to capture and post-process key system performance diagnostics
• Design, implement, debug and maintain automation tests and tools to provide a consistent and accurate view of performance

Job Responsibilities:

• Measure, assess performance impacts of key feature submissions
• Investigate and triage KPI regressions to ensure they are detected early, and the correct teams are aware
• Interface with many functional teams from Kernel to application/UI layers in order to investigate and resolve complex system software issues
• Explore and propose enhancements/optimizations to tooling for analysis of software performance. Implement where necessary/applicable.

Qualification & Experience:

• Passion for measuring and improving system software performance
• Masters degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen interest in software technologies, with emphasis on embedded systems design and optimization
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Broad and in-depth professional-level knowledge in various scripting languages, including Python and shell scripts
• 2+ years’ professional experience in an embedded SW, lab automation, and/or server development environment
• High level of knowledge in C/C++ programming
• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study(Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
• 3+ years’ professional experience in an embedded SW, lab automation, and/or server development environment
