Job Description:
This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Administrative Management and Operations Branch in the Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for ensuring that the division manages knowledge as a strategic asset nation-wide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works with external stakeholders, such as other regulatory agencies, regulated financial institutions, trade associations, professional organizations, and community groups, to recognize and meet new knowledge needs and to leverage DCP knowledge to promote external stakeholder knowledge of consumer protection and community reinvestment responsibilities.
- Leads the team in; identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; malting adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities ensuring timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
- Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of DCP’s knowledge management program; and coordinates with employees, managers, and executives throughout DCP and Corporate University to initiate the development of training, communication, or other efforts to support DCP goals and initiatives, and to assess the efficacy of these efforts.
- Provide oversight of DCP’s communication program to notify staff of changes in regulations, procedures, guidance, or other emerging issues. Ensures that the regulatory calendar, regulatory segments, and discussion boards are updated on the internal website, Works with OPA and others to leverage these resources to inform and educate external stakeholders, where appropriate.
