Job Description:

This position requires completion of a one year supervisory/managerial probationary period, if one has not previously been completed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements formal and informal measures to ensure timely completion of Hydrologic Studies Program commitments, to ensure appropriate allocation of resources, and to balance program expenditures with available funding.
  • Assists the Center Director in development of the Center’s goals, approaches, and policies for the management of Center operations, and the supervision of the Center staff.
  • Promotes the development and application of new and advanced investigative techniques, and contributes to the solution of critical hydrologic questions and problems and advancement of scientific knowledge.
  • Develops cooperative Hydrologic Studies Programs with State and local governments and agencies other Federal agencies, Tribal governments, USGS headquarters program offices, and Canadian water resources agencies.
