Job Description: This position requires completion of a one year supervisory/managerial probationary period, if one has not previously been completed. Job Responsibilities: Develops and implements formal and informal measures to ensure timely completion of Hydrologic Studies Program commitments, to ensure appropriate allocation of resources, and to balance program expenditures with available funding. Assists the Center Director in development of the Center's goals, approaches, and policies for the management of Center operations, and the supervision of the Center staff. Promotes the development and application of new and advanced investigative techniques, and contributes to the solution of critical hydrologic questions and problems and advancement of scientific knowledge. Develops cooperative Hydrologic Studies Programs with State and local governments and agencies other Federal agencies, Tribal governments, USGS headquarters program offices, and Canadian water resources agencies.
