Job Description: This position is located in the Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), Office of Policy Analysis & Development (OPAD), Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is to perform program and policy analysis of significance to the overall mission, goals, and priorities MBDA and the Department of Commerce. Job Responsibilities: Develops background materials, gathers information from numerous sources and prepares formal reports for the OPAD leadership and the National Director. Work closely with senior leadership and staff at MBDA to improve internal coordination and provide policy guidance; frequently representing OPAD and MBDA at the Department in interagency meetings. Conduct complex special research studies of MBDA programs, policies and initiatives; and/or programs, policies and initiatives of other government agencies. Work on complex and confidential assignments on matters of special concern to the MBDA leadership that involve Agency-wide, Departmental and intra-agency programs and policy issues.
