Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Concept Support Service- Menu Vision Management & Execution located at our corporate offices in Bloomington, MN. The Director will develop, manage, and deliver field support programs and tools designed to assist the Operations, R&D, Training, and Marketing divisions with executing initiatives to achieve goals and objectives that ensure dominance within the QSR burger and treat segments. Manage a team of professionals, either project managers, technical support staff or restaurant management teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor the progress of Operations projects and assist with any necessary adjustments to ensure that proper follow-up is completed on commitments and that projects are completed on a timely basis and on budget
- Collaborate with Marketing and R&D during menu/product concept development to review feasibility of operational execution of new and/or existing products. Facilitate discussions regarding the potential impact of new concepts on store operations including, but not limited to, speed of service, operational flow, complexity, shelf-life management, and food safety. Conduct risk assessment of potential issues required for successful operational execution and determining test stores and/or markets
- Hire and manage a high-performing team. Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members. Direct the workflow and prioritization of work for the team
- Act as general manager during new menu/ product development by providing balanced perspective, representing operations needs to other cross-functional team members with cross-functional requirements to meet the menu vision
- Lead cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, operations, FSQR corporate stores, and franchisees in various projects related to testing menu concepts, new products, or core vitality improvements including developing and managing timelines, facilitating internal processes and discussions, scheduling, and leading test operator calls, and developing reporting standards and template
- Collaborate with Vice President of Concept Support Services to establish short-term and long-term priorities (1yr., 2 yr., and 3 yr.). Use a visionary approach to examine current environment and plan for future growth opportunities
- Analyze test data including operator surveys and consumer feedback to identify any executional challenges and provide direction on solutions when appropriate. Initiate work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot as needed
- Establish an environment that maximizes team motivation, productivity, and results
Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:
- Experience with Retail Technology a plus
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and recent/current experience with franchise operations and preferably a QSR brand. Demonstrated and successful P&L management a plus
- A. or B.S. Degree in Business, Restaurant Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience, required
- Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Track record of successful project management. Demonstrated capability to effectively manage a high volume of complex and ideally cross-functional projects
- Experience effectively creating and managing an operating budget
- Knowledge and/or experience working with Adobe Creative Suites
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with the Restaurant Industry and of restaurant operations
