Job Description: Install, maintain, replace and repair electrical and electronic communications equipment. ***Equipment restrictions mandate that an incumbent must not exceed the 300 lb equipment capacity limits (including 15 lbs of required tools) to safely perform the job duties Job Responsibilities: Receive and record inventory delivery Install, maintain, replace, and check communication equipment including, but not limited to, cables, computers, printers, monitors, radios, telephones, modems, wireless components, security cameras, batteries, connectors, various parts and testing equipment Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Transport tools and equipment to jobsite by truck Use trenching equipment to bury equipment and cables in ground Cut, splice, and pull cable on ground, poles, and towers Install wiring in offices and field locations Retrieve parts from inventory to install and maintain equipment Job Requirements: You must currently possess a FCC license or be able to obtain one within 90 days of your start date Fully vaccinated for Covid by start date or have received an approved medical or religious accommodation Basic Math You must currently possess a CDL or be able to obtain one within 90 days of your start date Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications) Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills) Qualification & Experience: Two years of experience in communications related field Two years of experience operating heavy equipment 21 years of age or older High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver's License Two year technical degree or equivalent experience in network management Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with Airbrake Endorsement Job Details: Company: CSX Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Huntington, WV, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Careersvilla.com
