Job Description: Install, maintain, replace and repair electrical and electronic communications equipment. Employees must be able to meet and comply with the manufacturer's weight limitation safety rating and recommendations for any equipment associated with performing their duties, including the 300 lb. safety rating for ladders (both portable and affixed) and fall arrest equipment. Job Responsibilities: Retrieve parts from inventory to install and maintain equipment Receive and record inventory delivery Install, maintain, replace, and check communication equipment including, but not limited to, cables, computers, printers, monitors, radios, telephones, modems, wireless components, security cameras, batteries, connectors, various parts and testing equipment Install wiring in offices and field locations Cut, splice, and pull cable on ground, poles, and towers Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Use trenching equipment to bury equipment and cables in ground Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Transport tools and equipment to jobsite by truck Job Requirements: Basic Math Communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions) Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications) Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills) Qualification & Experience: Two years of experience in communications related field High School Diploma/GED Two year technical degree or equivalent experience in network management FCC License Experience operating heavy equipment Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with Airbrake Endorsement 21 years of age or older Valid Driver's License Fully vaccinated for Covid by start date or have received an approved medical or religious accommodation.
