Job Description: We are looking for a Director Wireless Security Engineering to help ensure that our wireless services, applications, and websites are secured against the latest threats. This individual will also work with wireless system owners to ensure security is built in from the beginning of the programs instead of being bolted on after the fact. He/she will use their system-level knowledge of 5G networks to ensure we have managed all significant security risks and eliminated redundant security capabilities. The successful Director will have a Security Engineering mindset, experience and passion for identifying security threats in all OSI protocol layers and identifying mitigation techniques. You will be responsible for managing a team of security engineers conducting 5G security testing, setting up security monitoring, conducting security assessments, assist with threat modeling, build security in design, and creating metrics to demonstrate your team’s performance. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with system owners in conducting security tests on new applications and/or changes in security features. Lead the team on building security-in-design with focus on Application Security, Platform Security, Data Security and Endpoint security of all systems within the 5G wireless core network Effectively manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration, and communications Develop strategy for setting up security monitoring and guide its development Responsible for management of the ongoing security engineering support, maintenance, security, and availability of Security toolsets based on business requirements and adherence to tight operational, security, and procedural models. Lead team on E2E application security testing across RAN and Core networks, and system level application security testing Work with vendors and system owners on remediation of critical and major security vulnerabilities identified by the vendor Manage staff, including selection, goal setting, annual reviews, and compensation planning and career development Develop security assessments of new features planned for production by Product Owners and System owners. Work with the stakeholders in implementation of security recommendations.
