Job Description: This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Program Operations and Local Engagement(OPOLE), Local Engagement and Administration. As a Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-13, you will be responsible for coordinating externally facing public information campaigns and increasing strategic partnerships designed to equip the public with information to make informed decisions about CMS programs. Job Responsibilities: Work in partnership with other interested organizations at the regional, state and local levels, educate and interact with beneficiaries, consumers, providers, and other partners and stakeholders about CMS programs. Evaluate, analyze, and synthesize the impact of new or revised changes to legislation and policy pertaining to any CMS program and initiatives. Develop, evaluate, and implement tactical communication plans, strategies, processes. Organize outreach activities such as public relations, publications, conferences, and presentations associated with health care programs. Develop and maintain strategic partnership to provide information, promote awareness and share feedback on CMS programs and initiatives.
