Job Description:

The Chevron Lubricants Laboratory Services organization is posting an entry-level laboratory technician position. The open position is with the Blending and Technical Services Team (BTS). The Laboratory Services organization is a customer-focused service group that performs bench-scale blending and testing of lubricants in support of product development, technical services, and research & development activities conducted by Chevron Lubricants and Oronite Additives.

Job Responsibilities:

The open position is part of a team that is focused on delivering timely, precise, and flexible laboratory services to its customers while maintaining operations that reflect a true “safety first” environment that meets Chevron’s high standards for Operational Excellence. Product lines supported include automotive passenger car and heavy duty engine oils, industrial oils, gear oils, greases, and transmission fluids. Training will be provided for specific functions associated with the position. Work involves handling finished lubricants, base oils, and solvents (PPE provided/required).

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform detail oriented, mistake-free work.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Excellent safe work history / strong safe work ethic.
• 1+ years experience working in a laboratory or similar technical environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
