Job Description: This is an open continuous announcement and will be used to fill various vacancies within any Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) organizations. Job Responsibilities: Respond to public health calls, as needed, from health care providers and the general public during off-duty hours, including evenings and weekends. Provide technical assistance and consultation to the State or local health department in the technical and scientific planning, direction, management, and analyses of the State or local health department's terrorism preparedness and response activities. Evaluate and analyze assigned jurisdiction's data collection, quality control, and data utilization methods. Develops strategies and methods to improve the quality of the data collected. Participate in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of the State or local public health surveillance systems, with emphasis on detection of terrorism-related health events. Collaborate with health department officials to develop priorities in communication, coordination and planning of terrorism and other emergency response activities.
