Job Responsibilities:
- Advising the agency client on various financial management activities, such as the proper use and expenditure of funds, and interagency agreements;
- Providing legal opinions on fiscal law issues pertaining to funding CBP operations and review Anti-Deficiency Act investigations;
- Researching and interpret applicable laws, statutes, and regulations; draft legal opinions and analyses; and make recommendations to agency leadership; and
- Assisting agency leadership with any other matters, such as reviewing and drafting legislation affecting CBP’s interests
Job Requirements:
- You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
- Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (additional details below)
- You may be required to pass a background investigation
- CBP follows the DHS Drug-Free Workplace Plan for drug testing procedures
