Job Description: California Energy Commission seeks a Data Pipeline Developer in the Energy Data and Analytics Office. The Energy Data and Analytics Office is responsible for organization-wide infrastructure, tools, automation, security, and governance required to effectively manage and analyze the Commission’s data assets. The office leads the Commission’s current efforts to modernize all aspects of data handling and analysis, including utilizing cloud computing resources, implementing standardized and automated data pipelines, enhancing the accessibility and quality of Commission data for both internal and external users, and adopting modern data science tools and software. Job Requirements: Must have experience manipulating data with an object-oriented programing language and querying relational data with Structured Query Language (SQL). Must have knowledge of basic data structures and formats, including the design of relational table structures. Prefer experience with a data integration (or data pipeline) tool or service. If not experienced with our current technology stack, should be willing and able to learn. This includes Amazon Web Services (primarily Amazon S3, EC2, and minor services), Talend Data Integration, Python or Java, and a Snowflake data warehouse.
