This Construction Control Representative serves as a Quality Assurance Representative by performing administrative and technical work in support of military and/or civil works construction projects.
- Monitor the work of a 2-to-3 member team of construction specialists and/or civil engineers to maintain consistency in the work process and keep the supervisor informed on statuses.
- Contribute to the preparation of costs and material estimates.
- Liaison between team members, contractors, and the using service to coordinate work on all projects, resolve controversial problems and/or conflicting interest.
- Monitor accurate, timely reporting of construction site concerns such as progress, delays, claims, accidents, and injuries in order to document adherence to construction plans such as predetermined schedules and budget constraints.
Qualification & Experience:
Specialized Experience for the GS-11 level: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing plans to ensure conformity with project requirements such as locality and field conditions, and/or to correct obvious deficiencies; 2) Monitoring contractor quality control compliance and/or safety program; 3) Preparing pay estimates based on conditions such as work completed, materials, and equipment at the job site; AND 4) Observing and/or investigating all construction phases to ensure compliance with schedules, specifications, and shop drawings.
