Job Description: Responsible for directing and managing the performance of Flight Service Managers, Administrative Support Staff, and Flight Attendants. This job is a member of the Flight Service Team within the Customer Experience Division. Job Responsibilities: Gives work directions, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work Manages key personnel to decrease delays, ensures on-time departures, and enhances customer service Assigns, or delegates responsibility for, specified work or functional activities and disseminates policy to supervisors Works closely with local APFA reps to reach interest-based decisions for the company and the Flight Attendants, and provide guidance and development for Flight Service Managers Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with supervisors to obtain data required for planning department activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered Directs and coordinates department activities Assists with the preparation of the operating budget and works with Passenger Service, Ramp Service, Flight, and Food & Beverage to resolve local problems Coordinates activities of department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices Coordinates with Human Resources, Employee Relations, Crew Resources and HDQ Flight Service to interpret, apply corporate policy, procedures and the APFA collective bargaining agreement Job Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse work group and interdepartmental environment Ability to handle multiple responsibilities Ability to be innovative and creative to address workforce issues and proactively prevent problems Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Qualification & Experience: 7 year's experience in the airline industry or in management Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience Prior Flight Attendant experience Job Details: Company: American Airlines Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Los Angeles, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Careersvilla.com
